  • Wetland Wonders

    When: Friday, June TBD, 5:30-6:30PM

    Where: Graylag Nature Preserve
    320 Clough Rd, Pittsfield, NH

Ponds and vernal pools are full of life, from hidden aquatic insects to the echoes of calling amphibians. Join us for a hands-on exploration of these fascinating freshwater habitats at the beautiful Graylag Nature Preserve.

Led by Kelly Dwyer, Bear-Paw Board member and founder of Nature Education Opportunities, this family-friendly program invites you to slow down and take a closer look at the wetland world. We’ll dip into the pond’s muddy substrate to discover tiny aquatic creatures, search the water’s edge for signs of wildlife, and observe dragonflies and birds soaring above. Along the way, we’ll discuss the critical role these habitats play in supporting New Hampshire’s diverse wildlife.

No experience necessary—just bring your curiosity, a pair of binoculars if you have them, and footwear that can get damp. Space is limited—reserve your spot today!
