Brunch with Bear-Paw
Shaping the Future of Conservation
Your support shapes the future of land conservation. Please join us at our annual fundraiser and be a vital part of sustaining wild and working lands. Enjoy a delicious brunch surrounded by supporters who share your vision. Plus, a special presentation of feathered ambassadors from the Center for Wildlife, representing the multitude of animals that depend on the nearly 11,000 acres you’ve conserved with Bear-Paw.
We’ll start the morning with coffee and doughnuts while you catch up with Bear-Paw friends. Enjoy a light brunch and listen to a presentation about birds of prey. Then, our Executive Director, Krystal Balanoff, will speak about what we’re doing here at Bear-Paw and how vital your contributions are to our mission!
Birds of Prey: Our Talon-ted Friends
What is the difference between a hawk and a falcon? Do we have vultures in New England? What is our smallest owl? What is our largest hawk? Where do they live? Using our amazing live non-releasable bird ambassadors, posters, and hands-on materials, we will discuss the kinds of birds of prey found in New England, their habitats, habits, place in the food chain, and why we need to protect them. This program will connect the audience with these beautiful ambassadors of their species as well as provide their natural and personal histories and empower audience members to help to steward the environment that we all share.
